Tony's House

It is many people's dream to build their own home. For me this has recently become possible. The house that I am building has been designed to have very low energy requirements. Indeed it is hoped that all of the energy for the house will be provided directly by the sun shining on the site itself.

This will be achieved through a combination of passive solar design, extremely high levels of insulation and by storing excess solar energy produced during the summer in an interseasonal thermal store.

Though I don't believe in the popular current theory of anthropogenic global warming, I am very enthusiastic about saving energy at every opportunity.
